Dr. Buckley is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. She has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, college counseling centers and private practice, and has experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and concerns.

Dr. Buckley completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Columbia University and attended Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University where she received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in 2009. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Veterans Affairs (VA) NY Harbor Healthcare System, Manhattan campus, and her post-doctoral fellowship in Interdisciplinary Palliative Care at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. Dr. Buckley currently holds appointments at the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System, Manhattan campus, where she is a staff member on the VISN2 Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) Team and Director of the Psychology Externship Training Program, as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Buckley is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mainly approaches treatment from this perspective. She has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression (CBT-D), Problem Solving Therapy (PST), and Behavioral Activation (BA); all subspecialties within CBT. In addition to her experience and training in CBT approaches, Dr. Buckley is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression (IPT-D), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), MDMA Assisted Therapy for PTSD, and Ketamine Assisted Therapy.
